You might want to take a closer look at the wire sizes, the heavy wires are much preferrable for non-memory seats as the motors to take a lot of current, considerably moreso if there is a butt in them. There is a reason that they were built the way they were...

I put the original wires on the new switch.
All functions work fine.

As long as the contacts in the switch are rated for the same current, all is well.
