Default Lost 45 degree mark on cam gear how do I find it?

This is a continuation of my original post, the topic has now changed due to the nature of the problem. Long story short I set my engine to 4|5 mark then removed the passengers side pulley. In the process I accidently wiped off the supposed permanent marker for the 45 degree mark. I cannot set the cams to 0 degrees because the springs keep jumping. Does anyone know what I need to so to get the 45 degrees.

At 45 degree, the cam gear should be three notches to the right.

Thanks Dwayne for the pic.
