Oh darn! Looks like Dennis was a really nice guy as well as a shark lover. Not too many left in this world. Sucks to get old. My condolences to his family and friends

I wish I could have met him as he sounded like an amazing person. It always hurts to see another 928 owner pass.
My condolences for his family and friends.

While I am sure this seemed inevitable to most of us here in SE. Michigan, it is always such a shock to confront the reality of a friend passing away. Dennis was always willing to help out with any 928 project. As recent as last Fall, just before his last hospitalization, he helped me diagnose which parts to replace on my clutch.
Our condolences to Sue and his family.

He was one hell of a nice guy who will be missed by all that knew him, even remotely. He fought the good fight but cancer is devastating to all who are close........may his family now rest, with his peace. R.I.P Dennis.

Dennis was a wonderful person, friend and customer - he helped me when I bought my first Weissach. His knowledge was always detailed. His car was awesome and an inspiration to myself and many others.
I will never forget him and always will remember his Weissach cowboy boots.
Rest in peace my friend. Your suffering is over.

I too remember Dennis from my visits to Sharks in the Mountains. His Weissach was perfection with the best exhaust of all of the 16v cars.
Rest in peace and prayers for his family.

RIP Dennis. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, suffer no more Dennis.
Here is some footage I had from 2012. I love how he drove that shark, all in.

RIP my friend Dennis. You will be greatly missed by the Detroit Area Owners and many others.
As the host of Sharks In Hell, I made sure the cottage in Hell was ready for the event ... grass cut, boats had fuel, beds had clean sheets, ... but Dennis took on much of the behind the scenes work for years. Dennis organized sponsors, t-shirts, door prizes, port-a-john, and used the event to promote the 928 Owners Club (always having registrations forms on hand).
Over the past couple years other local owners have taken on these tasks as Dennis’s health started failing, which I greatly appreciate. Last year he would call my cell 3-4 times each week to make sure everything was on track. He could only talk for about 5 min, and then called me back about an hour later to continue the conversation. He was the truly the driving force of Sharks In Hell, and other local events.
We will have a memorial service around 2pm on August 2nd to remember Dennis, and a moment of silence at 9:28pm that evening. If you can’t make it to Sharks In Hell this year, please join us wherever you are in a moment of silence for Dennis at 9:28pm (EDT) on August 2nd.
