Well I have a 1984 single exhaust and have seen the single exhaust Borla but, for 78- 82. You know the 4.5L to my 4.7L. Other than that I see no difference. But Borla says its not intended for the 4.7L. I was wondering why, but I think Mark should know; when he said it will work. If it attaches and lines up with hangers, same dia. just wondering why they'd say that. Thanks for your replies.

Have it on my US 84 and it fits perfect

The S had a single dual exhaust (1 resonator, 2 pipes in 2 pipes out) if that makes sense. The borla has a larger single 3 inch pipe which should be more than enough for a 4.7.
