I have acquired a loaner LH and EZK to try to diagnose my hiccup issue on my 88 5-speed. The computers I've borrowed came from an automatic. Does this matter? If so, what are the differences?
Thanks

None (between S4 models).
The coding plug determines the selection of auto vs. manual programming on the same chip.

Thank you fr your prompt responses. What is a "coding plug"? I had just planned to plug in the loaner computers and take it for a drive. Do I need to open them up and swap something?

Plug is next to LH and EZK boxes so its outside LH. You can just remove LH wiring connector from original LH and plug it into spare one without doing anything else and it should work fine.
