Default TPMS Sensors, special tool needed and advice on Powder Coating (pics)

So,

My lightly used GTS wheels arrived today and they do have the TPMS sensors in them. I am getting the wheels powder coated and would like to remove them and as I don't think they would withstand the heat... unless I'm wrong. Here are my questions...

1) Who would happen to have these specialty tools that would cost $160 to get and also 3 weeks or more out of Germany that I can borrow to remove and replace with new seals? This would be amazing if someone could help me with this...
2) The black cover that you see in one of the pics and is gone on the other. The reason its missing is because when I touched it, it fell apart. Can I purchase just these black caps which appear to be air diffusers of some sort and possibly reduce wind noise and possibly other things... which I don't know.
3) Will Powdercoating ruin the sensors if I leaved them? It would seem like it would due to heat and also wouldn't be good for the seal inside I imagine which I would need to replace then anyways.
4) Lastly, has anyone removed these another way and tightened them again with something else other than the tools in the picture?

The part numbers for reference are 00072192730 (tool # 9273) and 00072192740 (tool # 9274) from Porsche.

I know I have seen these on military vehicles as well. I wonder if these cross over as a similar part, size and tool requirements which would make them possibly easier to get.

Any help is appreciated. I searched "TPMS tool" and didn't come up with much.

Cheers,
Bryan

Bryan-

I have the 9273 and 9274 tools, PM me your mailing address and I'll throw them in the mail. You can in theory undo the sensor lockrings with channellock pliers, but if there's any corrosion on the sensor threads, they will be damaged, and the lockrings are ridiculously expensive, like $25 each. (928 361 203 01). (Or $15 each, used from Mark).

You will kill the sensors if you powdercoat them in place. They need to come out.

I would go out and spray the lockrings on the sensors now, with PB blaster or Kroil, and let them soak.

You will want eight new o-rings (999 707 035 40) and however many black covers (928 361 201 02) are missing.

Alternatively, there may be places that can just repaint them in Porsche silber metallic #936, which would avoid all this hassle. That said, I have had three sets of 928 wheels powdercoated at Al Reed's here in Anaheim and have no regrets.

Ditto on soaking them before attempting removal and plan on turning the nut and not the sensor.
