Default MPH gauge

I replace my speedometer a few months ago. I noticed when I go into a car wash my MPH gauge is funny (jumps up and down) while turning. Should I put sealant on it?

Funny how?

Funny like a clown?

Does it tell jokes?

Is it the opening act for strippers?

I can recommend a good agent.

I would recommend considering cleaning the instrument cluster ground points.

A machine car wash...that's a no-no.
Anyway... does this carwash shoot water up from underneath ? The line off the rear differential and into the car, enters the car in the spare tire chamber and makes its first connection there. Do you have any moisture in there ? Take a look at this area and clean up the harness connectors under the black plastic cover there.
Sealant ? Where ? Do you have high velocity water coming in through the windshield seam and making its way under the front of the pod ?

Just ensure that the sensor on the back off the differential is securely attached to the trans and the wires going from it are sealed. Take a look at the grommets that are going in to your battery box area are sealed.
