Bilal, if memory serves me correct, you pry up on the sill plate on the carpet side then slide the sill plate toward the interior to remove. The plastics clips that are on the outside part of the sill plate remain in the body and can be removed once the plate is out of the way to be put on the replacement plate.

I had the side skirts off so I removed the aluminium bracket to clean underneath and also the track. Then sprayed some silicone spray in the track and just carefully slid the molding in. It was around 34 deg Celsius, don't know if that was warm enough to soften the plastic but it worked fine.

Glen, I am trying to install the black rubber strip outside of the sill plate.

545SVK, thank you. So how did you remove the side skirt? Any screws or just double sided tape? After having done that, do you think it can be done with the aluminum channel in place?

The screws in your last photo hold the top of the molding in place, and there are screws underneath bolting to the body. There is some double sides tape at the top of the kick up behind the door and on the join between the molding on the front wing and the side skirt.

The molding goes back last to cover the gap and screw heads that you see.

545svk,
Thank you. I got what you posted.
The question I have is that can I slide the molding in without taking the side skirt out?

try removing the screws and see if that will provide the necessary clearance to install the new strip

I removed all the screws on the side skirt, but can't get the remnants of the old molding out.
