I'm trying to choose between clear or smoked front turn signals for my '85.
The car is metallic black. Montegoschwarz to be precise. I've decided that the euro side turn signals are definitely going to be smoked, but i'm unsure as to whether clear or smoked will look better up front. Will the smoked lenses up front look out of place next to the fog and driving lights?
I did search many times for photos to help me decide, both here and on the google, but only came up with photos of clear lenses on pre S4 cars.
What are peoples opinions? Has anyone fitted smoked lenses on their OB?

Yeah, I was leaning towards the clears for them to be matching against the fog and driving lights at the front. Plus they should be brighter!
Nobody other than me seems to use their turn signals around here anyway - I wonder if they see them flashing on other cars and are confused to what they are?
I did see a pic of an s4 with smoked lamps next to the fog/driving lamps and clear infill section, and it didn't look quite right in my opinion.

FWIW, I don't stock smoked turn-signal markers because no one has asked for them.
I think clear is the way to go. And good choice on the smoke euro sidemarkers. Those I do stock and sell.

Agreed. I sold very few smoked turn signal lenses, and I think it was for a reason. However, I sold lots of smoked Euro side flashers and quite a few smoked side markers..
As has been pointed out, the smoked lenses have a slightly brownish hue. As a result they work very well on black, brown, slate grey, burgundy or dark green cars, but are not ideal for blue or teal colored cars.
My own 928 is configured with clear turn signals and smoked side markers front and rear. See the link in my signature.
