Default tensioner adapter kit

Did a search and can't find specifics. I have the pre-83 tensioner, and did the rebuild. Followed the WSM for spacer alignment. Now I am putting it back together. WSM says to add oil to about 1/3, drop the washer stack in the cylinder of the tenisioner, then fill to top. Should the oil come out through the little weep hole on top and into the rubber boot area?
Also, how does the aluminum adapter fit onto the end of the tensioner? Interference? Just tap it on with a hammer? What is the orientation of the o-ring on the adapter? I assume at the top edge?
Lastley, the clamp is not a worm screw clamp but a kind I have not seen before, and I can't figure out how it tightens. Anybody have experience with these adapter kits?

the first picture shows the tensioner with oil - is it too full? The second picture shows the aluminum adapter sleeve - does it just get slipped over the top of the tensioner (with a hammer - it doesn't just slide over)? The third picture shows the clamp - never saw one of these before, how does it adjust and clamp?

I can't help you with the tensioner but you need a "special" pair of plier to work with this kind of clamp.
It's not exactly the same but it looks like the ones on the rear shafts.
Hope this help.

Thanks Kevin for the pic.

If you use a worm clamp the positioning of the screw is critical (at least on the later engines) for the cover to sit flush.

The ring is epoxied to the end of the tensioner IIRC - Calling Greg Brown.
The clamp can be pinched up carefully with pliers or tile cutting pliers or the correct Oliker type pliers.

I had to pound the ring (carefully) with a hammer to get it on - very tight. It is never comming off.
