They are finding out that a good percentage of their readership are picking these up and having fun with them. It's the same story with the local PCA regions also. I'd have to say that more and more of my customers are people who own 997's, Cayenne's, etc. They are the ones that thought the 928 was cool in High School and can now have some fun with the car they dreamed about.

Think they'll cover that drag car build? Or the V12 6 spd?
;-)
If they do change their ways, some positive reinforcement might be a good idea- at least for the folks that are always pining for resale value.

About time they start doing more articles on the rest of the Porsche line up. I don't know how many more articles I can read about old 911s that have a ton of money lavished on them with questionable end results, or about brand new models that are above most readers pay scale to buy.
That being said, we as a 928 community need to step up and provide some good material for Excellence to use for upcoming articles.
Like the 1984 24 hour Daytona Brumos sponsored 928 racer that I tracked down to be in storage at the old Porsche museum when everyone initially told me that it had been destroyed. They had done a story about it, but the article ended with some questions, like what happened to it and was it an all aluminum special chassis. Well those questions can finally be answered publicly.

As awesome as those projects are, I hope not....at least not for a while.
It would be nice if they spent the next few years showing how awesome the stock models are, instead of focusing on why people are so quick to change everything.
Plenty of good stories just from Rennlist members:
Plenty of good stories to go around that will be interesting to the non-928 person.

Plenty of good stories just from Rennlist members:
- Mark Anderson's 84 and his racing history along with 928 International
- the sickness that is the "Roger Box" that can tie in a shout out to his business
- Chuck Z's cars like Kermit
- Blue 82 and the other awesome cars James has
- George Sunnen's 210mph run
- Kibort could have his own side bar in every 928 article explaining the virtue's of HP vs Torque
- Louie Ott
- Get them to cover the next OCIC event
- Carl's Pike's Peak run and Bonneville attempts
Plenty of good stories to go around that will be interesting to the non-928 person.

I think Jadz 928's renewal of research on the early cars, and especially the #6 red car would be interesting. I've worked on the red one a little bit, it's a real nice survivor being treated carefully.

As much as we like to gripe about lack of [accurate] 928 coverage in these magazines, folks need to remember that the material should be submitted by folks like us. Want to see better features? Write them. Submit them. Good stuff does get published, and that process starts with knowledeable folks submitting the material.

There could also be an article about the cast of unique personalities that populate this site with their wisdom, wit and unbelievable capacity to assist others as well as the usual suspects that give us enough material (bait) to extend a single statement (or proclamation) into a 20 page thread, i.e. Amsoil vs Mobile 1, Torque vs HP, Carl vs Greg, etc.

Perhaps Amsoil could sponsor a "Kibort Moment"!
Seriously, one topic I wish I had time to write would be the RL Community. There are some pretty amazing stories here, and in the other 'stepchild' forums, of the community's support for its members. Just the story of Leroy alone would make a pretty awesome tale, even for non-928ers.

There is a bit of sneaky language there that gives them an out on some future coverage we 928 folks may be expecting:
We will be making a concerted attempt to cover all Porsche models in proportion to their ownership among our readers.
