Looking for a few people who might have some time and knowledge to get a 1979 porsche back on the road. Some friends (Gary and Sherry) have a '86.5 that they take to sharktoberfest each year. They also have a '79 that needs attention. Motor has been rebuilt, but will not run correct. There is something not quite right with the fuel distribution (I believe)
As I am in Calif. I am of no real use to helping. I had planned on trailering it here and working on it, but health problems have arrisen (lost 50 pounds since last sharktoberfest) and have had to bail on a '86.5 5speed I was looking forward to getting.
Anyway, if anyone in the Vegas area is available, or know of a good reputable shop to help, could you please pm me your phone number/contact information and I will get it to them. They have had some 'not so good experiences' but would really like to have the car running for the next sharktoberfest. Thank you in advance, Don.

I wish i could help..but honeslty, the car being a 79, i would have no clue about the fuel system...different animal than my 87.
There are a few other locals on here that may chime in.

If you are having fuel troubles take it to a mechanic who works on old mercedes as they basically have the same fuel system.
