those look like thermostat housings used for the intake runners

WTF indeed. Some fine German Engineering right there. Another carb added to that "spider" how? Just bore a hole in it?

Wow, the protoype resurfaces. That was actually Greg's first 8-cylinder intake attempt, for the type 771 904/8 motor that Porsche outsourced to the Whittier HS auto shop back in '64.

That's an important piece of Greg Brown history, right there.

2 barrel roychester carb. Jam 2 more on there and you would have a nice tri power set up fitting for a GTO or an old Corvette.
