LMAO...maybe i'm actually learning how to be a shark owner...cut the "MF" to pieces and install a good used one, already crossed my mind several times.
Thank you Fellas...made me laugh on an otherwise frustrating day.

I just went through this. Fortunately only one bolt head broke off so I was able to wiggle the bridge free, but it was a real pain. Cutting it sounds like your best option. You don't want to gouge the block when prying off the water bridge, so keep that in mind too. Also, Jim Doerr of 928 Classics sells much better fastners for this peice - call Jim and get his before reinstall.

FWIW when refitting the new hardware,
I suggest to add some Loctite PTFE pipe sealant to the threads,
this will keep liquids from mixing into the threads,
the bolts will them be able to be removed in 20 years.
This same idea is used for the water pump bolts

Thanks Stan and Ed for the suggestions. I appreciate everyone's input...gonna have another go at that last bolt today, sawzall is on standby should it be required.
Guess i might better check for a replacement first though.

Another idea, that I've pulled off, is to saw along the gasket between the bridge and the head. This is risky as you can easily mess up both surfaces and need to use sealant. With the bolts removed or head broken the bridge will come up a tad so you can get the blade in the gap.

Just a quick thanks for all the suggestions here.
Waterbridge is out, bolt remnants did not put up too much of a fight(lots of acetone/ATF) and my trusty old vise grips.Happy to report no damage(i hope).
Used water bridge from 928Intl on hand, and now i can finally move on...Huzzah!

How common is it to have these hex allen bolts to shear? I'll be removing the water bridge soon to replace the leaking big-O ring between the bridge and block. Stan (Mrmerlin) outlined in a PM a process of several rounds of alternating heat and PB before trying to remove them. Just wondering if anyone gets these bolts out with minimal fuss (Well...I guess 928 Intl does )

I removed mine for the first time last October and did not brake a bolt but one was very stiff.
I remove the intake to do this as it was the first time and wanted as much place as possible.
I also put two additional paper gaskets (928 106 167 01) there to prevent leaking.

when you install these new bolts put PTFE thread pipe sealant on them this will keep fluids out of the threads , and in 20 years will permit removal with minimal fuss

I just picked up some Loctite PTFE for these and WP bolts. I also had a very stubborn block drain bolt- going to use the PTFE here too.
