Default Veloce RS fitment question

Hey, I'm planning on putting new Veloce RS wheels on the car, with Continental ExtremeContact DW tires. The calculator I used indicates that there will be 1.5" less fender clearance with the matching wheels, which puts it extremely close to the inside fender.

If anyone else has these installed, let me know if I need to have the inside lip of the fender rolled up for additional clearance.

225/40-18 X 8.0 ET 52 - Front
265/35-18 X 9.5 ET 47 - Rear

Alternately I could put 255/35-18 on the rear and get another .2" of clearance, but this isn't the recommended tire for the wheel.

Thanks much!

From another rlist forum... "I have the Veloce's on my 964T. The car lives outside in the UK. I guess little stones or something have hit the rim and made small holes in the plastic (?) that sits over the shiny part (technical term). So water/damp has got in and I have the milky effect. This happened after them being on the car for c.4mths and c.1k miles. Because I bought the wheels and stored them for 3mths before installing them on my car they were technically 7mths old when this happened and my warranty claim was rejected.

Also - the visible head of one of the small 'bolts' has snapped. I cant tell what they are made of - looks like plastic but surely it can't be? So I now have a bolt head missing, but the shaft of the bolt still in situ. Not sure how to fix that.

They look amazing, but they still need more attention than a painted Cup1 for example. ... "

The "bolts" were plastic at least at the time of this discussion, just an FYI ...

I'm having a set of these two piece wheels re-barrelled to get 18x8et57 and 18x10et58 for my GTS.

Got them for a really good price. When the wheel guy disassembled them about half the bolts were cracked from being over tightened and several were replaced with plastic screws just glued in to look good. Glad I didn't drive fast with them like that. The guy I got em from is refunding enough for all new bolts, 100 of em. Just waiting for the custom barrels to be made to fit the bolt pattern and proper offsets.

Sorry, it's a US '84. I've read about the plastic bolts. I can replace them if necessary with steel, but I really like the look/price of these wheels. I've ordered them in granite black
