Default Flush Consoles?

So, I've been trying to retrace where any of the projects left off and it seems that:

Jerry's - Stopped
Hans - Stopped
BigAl's - Stopped

am I missing anyone or other updates?

Never as easy as people would hope and there is always room for others to jump in and make it happen. Follow through is important.

I know about Jerry's and Hans's efforts but who is Big Al and what is he making?

Jerry's effort actually did not "stop" but rather it finished. However it finished at a point where no one was interested in sending me their console to install the conversion, and instead all preferred to have the basic components sent to them to do the installation themselves. However, after I posted my last thread about what all is involved in doing the final installation in one's own console, all of that interest also dried up. Aside from putting the console that I finished up with for one of my cars in the car, there is no further development needed with my Flush Center Console Conversion.

Jerry,
What is the cost of someone to send their console to you to do? I have not seen a price.

Looks good.

Hi Dean. Nice to hear from you. It will be $1000 in basic black leather, plus any extras at time and materials and plus S&H. The extras might include a different color leather, and that can get pretty complicated. Not so much extra for a different color, but complicated in identifying the leather and obtaining it.

Then, one needs to review the other threads about my conversion because of some limitations in respect to putting this conversion into a previously leather covered console. A big extra will be in trying to cover or recover a console in leather to match the leather covered inserts.

Thanks for asking, Dean.

My conversion kit progress is almost stopped due to my time is aimed at renovating our house and property - been a long process! The 2 field testers so far have good results, so hopefully this fall and winter I'll get back to the 928 project and give it the time it deserves. If anybody has questions about it, I will reply to emails, but not on RL very often to catch PMs.
