Current Fluid State of Knowledge--2014
Not trying to open a debate. Just need the most current knowledge on the following:
Auto gearbox fluid:
Diff fluid:
PS hydraulic fluid:
Coolant:
Brake fluid:
Not going to ask generally about motor oil. I'll simply say I plan to use something with plenty of ZnDDP, probably Mobil 1 15W-40. I am curious about the Doug Hillary stuff. It is old, but he mentions HDEO. Is this something that is still relevant?
Before someone tells me to RTFM, I have, and it is 23 years old, at least. I've also read the fluid FAQs here, and they are old too--at least the ones I found.
This weekend, I put some SLC HF cats on my SLC x-pipe I got from the PO. The x-pipe had probably 1,000 miles on it, and there was no soot in it. PO had added some BG MOA. Should I continue with this additive?
Thanks,
Louis

Nordschleife Master
Auto gearbox - Dexron VI
Diff fluid - Mobil 1 LS 75/90
PS fluid - same as your ATF
Coolant - Xerex G 05 (I add Water Wetter as well. Where I am, I have to get both on Amazon)
Brake fluid - not sure of latest rec. I'm waiting to hear the Forum speak.

Brake fluid should be DOT 3 or 4. You could opt for race fluid like the U.S legal version of super blue, but it needs to be flushed every year as is sucks up moisture like a desiccant.
