Default Vacuum line

This morning at cars and coffee, while comparing motors, three of us realized we were missing pn: 92811008701 or 26 in pet.
The pet just says vacuum line, and I can't find any info on what it does. Anybody know it's purpose?

sorry, didn't see #26. That's the automatic transmission modulator vacuum line. Maybe you have a 5-speed?

About 50% of the motors I'm looking at online are missing it. It bolts on to the hex bolt right on the front of the spider under the crest, to the left..
