Default New clear lenses thanks 928 Classics

Thanks to Jim Doerr at 928 Classics, I have modernized the look of my front lighting. Very high quality lenses! I painted my bulbs with 4 coats on Tamiya clear orange and a light mist coat of silver. That was per Randy's thread on the method. It hides the egg yolk look of the amber bulb, but give amber light when lit. Pictures tell the story.
Enjoyed the mod.

Sweet mod! I have the same lens, but haven't installed them yet.
Also, I like the bulb painting - great idea.

Thanks you guys for the compliments. Yes, this car is getting some love. Funny, for years you just drive it, then you think how nice it is, and you want to give it some attention. Not the kind of thing that makes any economical sense. Just love, I guess.
Thanks,
Dave

Very nice!

Remember, you can always get LEDs - those are clear when off, and amber when lit.

and you don't need to put nearly that much paint on the bulbs, just enough to make them disappear behind the lens...

Nicole

What is the LED bulb number for the side markers and turn signals?

Is there a certain brand you recommend?

Thx

you know you can buy clear bulbs that light up amber, right?

... or LED's for a more modern look, as mentioned above.
