I think in Calif all 928's are getting sent to STAR inspection stations. Star techs license is harder to get, and ONE bloop and you are out. All of mine so far have been very meticulously done by older techs.

Hard part of removing the smog pump even if you can get away with it is finding the air pump delete pulley, as the air pump pulley is the adjusting device for that shared belt.
