I have owned my 81 manual for just over 6 months. The gears were sometimes hard to select, like the linkages were worn and jamming. I also had trouble with the master cyl holding pressure and just assumed it was a hydronic issue. I replace the master cyl and all was good, I could now hold the clutch in at the lights without it eventually wanting to creep away. BUT.....sometimes the gears were hard to select. I decided to remove the gear cover and the rubber boot and could immediately see what I needed to do. Using the needle nose players I removed $1.75 in loose change and lubricated the linkages with wd40. I can't believe how smooth in changes! If only I could make money on all my 928 fixes.....
