I should hit the 104,000 mile mark sometime in the next week or so.

Okay, let's see (looking at receipt/papers)...

5841km at time of importation/federalization (emisson report 7-3-84)

234603km (vehicle inspection report 8-7-99)

247120km at time of sale from 1st to 2nd owner (bill of sale 1-27-02)

-odo/speedo swap to miles/mph- (no receipt, confirmed to be done by 2nd owner)

689miles (mech reciept 2-28-01)

31399 current miles (visual inspection - odo working 8-4-03)

I'm glad to know the mileage given I have an EuroS2. The car was imported not long after it was built/sold in Germany.
I wish the 2nd owner would have fixed to odo gear instead of swapping out the unit

driven daily for the last 3 weeks. 2nd synchro is tired, wheels look bad, needs some suspension work but other than that what a wonderful ride.

I thought I would win for the LOWEST miles....just turned 10,000 miles on the 1980 Ex-Callaway Turbo car last week on way home from Pony Express Open Road Race. Bought the car from Devek with 7,800 verifiable miles, re-built and installed a 1984 Euro S motor, and put over 2,000 miles on it since engine was finished in April....several hundred miles at 100-140 mph (relax...it was during the race and practice sessions)

But then I see Djazz only has 7,616 miles on his '78!!! If anyone can beat him, let us know.

Rich.

P.S. 106,000 miles on my 1979 928
