Default towing hook

hi

anyone know the thread size of an s2 towing hook the front one that goes under the plastic grommet

there are two thread sizes - 15mm od x 3mm, and IIRC, 25mm od. I think the early cars (like my 83 S) use the smaller size . I replaced mine when it was broken by a towie, 15mm unit. They wont take sideways loads at all.

thanks mine looks more like 15 mm so i will see if i can locate one

Looks bent to me......and they are neither hard to get, or expensive - ~$20.
