Greetings all! This is my first post of hopefully many....Yesterday I just purchased my dream car, my first 928. It's a 1985 Black on Black automatic, just hit 100k. I love it. A few fixes needed, but nothing major I believe. My first question is an easy one....hopefully....The "PORSCHE" lettering on the rear bumper is in need of the decal replacement inside the letters. I have looked everywhere, found some in the usual places, and cannot find the correct color to get. I have seen white, light grey and dark grey. Does anyone know which is the correct one for black on black? My 928 is all stock, except for the radio (which I hope to return to stock), so I would like to make sure I get the right color to keep it as close to original as possible. Thanks in advance for any knowledge, and I look forward to some good times here.

Welcome, and congrats on the car.

The rear lettering on my black/black car is silver. Most black S cars I have seen have the silver lettering, although I have seen red as well.

Thanks! I was thinking that initially too, and I have seen light grey and dark grey on 928 Intl. too, I think white would stand out too much. Thanks for the response and the pic!

Welcome. I believe stock is a sliver with a metallic or flake embedded. I also got mine from 928 Int'l.
