Hmmm yes, strong with the force you are. Got to love Star Wars! Being that I grew up for both generations of Star Wars I am looking forward to the new one. I hope they pull it off.

I typically stay out of these frays......but.

Welcome aboard! You are in great company! I have dealt with Mark, Carl and Roger and all of them run a good business.

I welcome and embrace competition in any industry or specialty. It helps stabilize pricing and keeps everyone on there toes. I am in the specialty parts business (new and used) myself and understand the business from both sides.

And besides my 997, 993 and S80 always need parts

not to add fuel to the fire, but let alone a emai special pricing offer, will you match another retailers lower price over the phone?
not to name names to avoid a fire sale, I deleted a part from an order as I found the same at a lower price elsewhere, One of the big three here asked who was selling for less, and the price, I told him and he matched it. and I was not even a regular high dollar buyer. I will not buy anywhere else now.
loyal customer.
Thanks Roger

I would have preferred no bail outs with years of pain but cleaning the bad debt & bubbles out of the system.

The problems in 2007 still exist they have just been printed over. The cost so far is a 17 Trillion debt (more than $50,000 for every American man, woman and child)

What happens when this bubble pops? Double the debt again?

I think Roger and the competitors are under the impression I am going to undercut them. This deal was part of a negotiated effort between my supplier to offer me better discounting. Hit X volume sales get better cost. I have no intention of undercutting them indefinitely nor was it ever my intention to.

Shawn - welcome and sorry your first visit was a little fraught - I welcome competition as it is good for 928 owners and it keeps suppliers like me on their toes. Good luck to you and I hope you meet your sales target.

Shawn,

Be a bit careful on this Forum. Lots of great guys and the four active suppliers are all great to work with. A few years back, we had a guy who announced on this Forum that he would undercut anybody's price on used 928 parts. He found his business wasn't very good using that approach, and is no longer in the 928 parts business.

Welcome to THIS Shark Tank, and good luck with your business - you have competition that is STRONG, RELIABLE, and loaded with 928 KNOWLEDGE.

Did anyone manage to get "special pricing" from Shawn?

I asked for pricing for a few parts, but never received it, even after chasing. Not a good way to compete with the excellent vendor that I have already spent over $1500 with (928srus).
