I have what I suspect is a leaking windsheild seal around the top.
In heavy rain, I will get water in the front headliner - but if I put electrical tape across the gap where the window trim meets the roof and along the front of the windsheild where it looks like Rogers kit goes, I get no leaks.
Too afraid to pull the trim and reseal the window (have read many a tutorial on trim removal and still can't figure out how to get the trim out of the clips without bending them).
Question is.....will this kit help seal the gap enough to stop water from getting by??

Roger, how about throwing a few sets in the back of the car for 3rd Coast!? Can pick up, install and test out the difference on the drive from ATL and back!

I have a set and finishing up some paint touch up before reinstalling the trim.
I can't tell from the pics at the beginning of the thread.
Does the trim extend around the top under the trim for a bit?
I assume the concave curve edge faces out.

You can cut it and trim it however you want to. Curve it on around if you so wish.

Sadly Roger stopped selling the strips when a few people's windshields cracked.
I recommend getting the Porsche sealing strips and GTS trim. The trim is cheap, the seals... Not so much.

The stock piece is a soft compliant rubber.
The replacement is not...a windshield is never the same height off the body as another car, so the space that sits in, changes.
Hard plastic on the glass stressed it on tighter cars.

I was thinking about buying a set of these for my 89. Jim Corenman, told me that the gap at the top of the windshield corner trim allowed rain water to exit there and you could lower the door windows without water coming into the car. Later models with the rubber trim, wouldn't do that. He has cars with and without the rubber seals, lives in Washington State where it rains a lot, so I believe him.

I stopped selling them because of potential fitting issues. The seal is soft rubber and the same shore hardness as the original GTS seal. The cross section of the seal is an identical copy of the Porsche 91 to 95 seal. The seal requires careful installation on pre 91 cars due to the gap being different including the trim clips.
The trim needs to be a tight fit for obvious reasons. This requires the trim to be pushed into the slot. In doing so too much pressure can be exerted and the older more brittle glass can crack. It did so in a couple of installations. Because of this I withdrew the seals from the market.
Probably sold about 50 sets and have them fitted to 3 of my own cars. Better to be prudent than see expensive windshields being broken.
