Beautiful car; and two nice holes in the front bumper cover for a license plate. Nice going.

72,000 miles... previous owner only drove it occasionally, he told me he had too many cars... is that possible

Once I got her home noticed that... still don't want to put a front plate on

You might even get by without any plate on the rear for quite a while. I neglected to license my daily driver once for about 11 months before I got caught, and the ticket was $50. However when I went to get the new plate it cost $75, but they started it fresh at that point and not retroactively. The ticket was cheaper than the license fee for a year. And, it wasn't a moving violation, so no points.

I went a head and registered the car today... the previous owner wants his old plate back, needed the title transfered to me, and for some reason since its soooo old, AAA needs to take photos to insure it.

ever since I first posted, I started paying attention to cars on the road without front plates... I see a lot of cars running around Irvine with out front plates... every car i see that was designed without front plates in mind, is just sporting rear plates... lots of MBs, BMWs, and just about any sports car you can name. I'm going to run without plates, until the law tell me otherwise...

I'll just tell them; I'm a hayseed from Nebraska and didn't know better

Hi Bob,

Welcome to the community. Very nice ride!

I'm a newbie also (toddler now). Got my beauty mid-Jan.

Drive it and enjoy it.

Here's my blue with front plate on. Not bad IMO

Why ask for trouble when you are going to be driving it on a daily basis? Isn't that going to be trouble enough?

Very nice! Dove Blue looks very close to Venetian blue.

You have some distance between the license plate and the bumper.. IF I were to put plates on the front I'd still need some sort of bracket. I wouldn't want a plate gouging in to the paint.

I thought maybe next weekend I'd go to Car 'n Coffee and see how many people put plates on , and if they've been stopped

This is a stock front bracket. A rear bracket on the front will pull the plate right up on the bumper but as you mention it will probably rub. I have seen several cars like that.
