Bill and I got the S4 running (but not tuned), so I'll be there.

Hi NorCal 928 members,

Unfortunately I'm not going t make it again is year.

Last year the car was still apart doing the TB and other things.
This year it is my own body that has failed me.

I was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called Histiocytic Sarcoma. My first chemo session was April 14. My next is this Monday May 5. This is the third week post chemo which is the "best week" and I've been feeling pretty close to normal.

I thought I might make it down, but I did a trial run to South Lake Tahoe yesterday, one hour each way plus an hour putting around up there and it wiped me out. No way I can do the 2.5 hours each way to the East Bay.

I had hoped to thank Bill in person for his assistance and support while I struggled through the TB upgrade. Alas, I have to thank him here.

Thank you Bill for your NorCal 928 leadership and support. And especially thank you for the loaner tool program, without which I would not have been able to complete my timing belt upgrade.

I hope to beat this ugly beast into remission. I have a lot of top doctors on my team. If I can do that and am around next year I will certainly see you all at the next annual NorCal 928 SHARKS IN THE PARK!

Cheers!
Dennis

It was great seeing Bill, Nicole and meeting the NorCal gang! There were some very nice examples that made it. Wish we had more time this trip but we will return. Pics will be loaded when we get back down south.

Thanks Bill!!

I had a great time also, too bad we didn't get the usual draw of 928 owners. I did a quick photo upload onto my website if you want to see the images from the event.

I was good to see you all, and hope to see more of you at future events.

On and for those that expressed interest in my birds shots from the day before in Tilden Park, I put those photos up at:

Though for most of us the cars and people are more interesting.

Thanks for posting the pics George, looks like another fine day for a 928 picnic!
Sorry I couldn't make it this year, but I've been busy moving into a new house and battling kidney stones.

Rich,

Sorry you couldn't make it. Congrats on the new house and sorry about the kidney stones. They can be very painful. Hopefully we'll see you next year.
