Question Where is tach signal wire?

Can anybody help by telling me where the closest place to the brain is to locate the Tachometer signal line, and what is the color. I found a green wire on the schematic for the dash pod, but I'm sure there is a tach signal into the L-Jetronic brain.

John,
T1 and H1 on the central board (Front of passengers feed) Colour br/ro i.e. braun/red the wire is coming from the tack sensor on the rear transmission going to T1 -> H1 (internal) and then to the speedo-meter and the tempostat control unit - I do not think there is a connection to the L-Jetronic brain.

How are your two turbo engine doing? I have been away on business trip, so I did not follow you start-up reporting

Thanks guys. I'll hook up to one of those points.

As for how the car is running....well let's just say there are some sore new M3s running around town now. Today it is making about 380 HP, and once I get this split second PSC on line and the larger charge cooler, it should be well north of 425 HP. Time will tell.

John,
I am not sure of how it works w/ your MY but w/ my S4 the signal is multiplied by 2 or even 4 on some pins. John Speak has made a signal reducer / volt increaser so that I may tap into the tach wire and get a standard 12v signal. I expect to recieve it next week.
HTH,
Andy K
