Default Swapping LH Modules Between S4's

I did a bunch of searching on this, but couldn't find any related guidance...

I need to swap LH control modules between my two cars to see if each runs any differently.

One is an 87 Auto and the other is an 88 Manual.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare each module for the other car?
(like open them up and swap calibration proms or anything like that)?

Thanks in advance...

Swap away. They're functionally the same, and the changes for auto vs manual are enacted by the coding plug, which is attached to the LH harness, but not part of the ECU.

The only difference you'll find is, depending on the early/lateness of the 87, the LH from that car may not support the Bosch Hammer tool diagnostics.

OK. Thanks guys. Full speed ahead then. I'll let you know what I discover...
I guess this is one of the benefits of harboring two of these beasts.
