Needing to run a microphone up to the headliner for headunit phone function.

How do I remove the interior covering from the A pillar?

Thanks.

Unscrew at the top - incl screws for visor - then pull it towards middle of car top first - wiggle, its just a friction fit with spring clips.

but it is a pain to get seated properly when putting it back on. Those spring clips don't seem to like being re-used.

Randy, I was able to snake in a microphone wire by just removing the screws without removing the A pillar cover, by putting plastic putty blade in and wedging the cover out slightly to get wire in. Like Ed says, they are a PITA to get back in.

Mine have been out multiple times - never considered it to be really that difficult...

If one or both of the spring clips pops off in the process of removing the pillar, note that they mount on their little tabs in opposite directions. i.e.- one clip faces 'up', the other faces 'down'. I can't remember which one faces which way...
