Like I said, the warm white looks less washed out. Either one will work. Just personal preference. All the interior LEDs I used are warm white as well. They keep the stock look but are brighter.

In the front parking lights I used this bulb here...May be too bright for the back. When on it almost matches the brilliance of the fog lights. Seems to be really well made.

So...Is there an easily accessible place to splice into the brake light circuit to hook up the high mount brake light?

Not sure about the amber turn lens being lit all the time like you have it... now, if you were to paint it with transparent red -they would look uniform. That, and the brightness of an amber turn LED should make it appear orange when flashing.

believe it or not I really like the 80's tackiness of the amber lighting. The main point of this post was to share the method I used more than anything else. I had not seen anything else like this and wanted to share the idea. This can be customized in any number of ways to suit ones taste.

I was also thinking of potential legal issues with amber running lights on the rear of the vehicle... amber goes up front.

I agree with amber running lights on the back. Not nearly as safe.

It is true that contrast is much better recognized and therefore the factory way is the safest way. Now if you have conditions where it might be hard to see your car (fog, heavy rain, snow) then you would better be served by putting the euro rear fog light on.

I hope you are not one who runs around with your fog lights on all the time, either. I want to mount a small caliber automated gun that would shoot those out when people just turn them on cause they think it looks cool and there is no environmental reason to have them on.

I've tried something similar with 80smd bulbs in the turn signals, but it messes with the flasher relay circuit and they flash on and of so fast, it looks ridiculous. Did you not have that problem here?

Feel free to shoot my lights out as long as you're willing to have me shoot back. My fog lights are on all the time. The environmental reason is that I want other drivers to be able to see me during the day. At night, I keep them on because I have 8" H5 headlights. The fog lights seem to give me a little better field of illumination than what I have with just the headlights.

what is strange is that when I had them installed at just one corner the turn signals began blinking fast but after putting front and rear in it slowed down....It should be fixed with an electronic flasher if I am not mistaken.

Thanks, I'll try that. Must admit I only tried one corner on its own.

During the day is one issue, but a different one at night.

It might be that the H5's are not aimed correctly. I find that most cars I purchase have some issue with the headlight aiming. As well the halogen light bulbs dim over time. They must be replaced regularly even if they are not burned out.

I dont want to speak for 69g, but I believe he is referring to those with the rear fog on on clear nights. Looks like a bright brake light is on & is annoying.

Properly aimed fogs in the front can look pretty cool anytime on the 928, IMO.

To the OP, cool mod & excellent write-up.

Your tail light "buckets" look nice and bright. For anyone with an early model 928 whose tail light buckets look dark, faded, or even black, a neat trick that makes a BIG difference is to spray paint the buckets with chrome paint - makes them look like new when off, and brighter when on.
