Default Another fan resistor pack question

The .4 ohm wire (resistor) in my resistor pack had broken. I think this may have contributed to only the two highest fan speeds working. It's difficult to see in the picture, but if the picture is reproduced properly, the .4 ohm wire is at the upper right in the relay. Is there any sense in soldering the broken wire? Or is the heat enough to melt the solder? Is this unit done?

late edit: its a resistor pack, not a relay.

The wires are not just copper, so standard solder doesn't work. They are mechanically crimped and the tabs welded together.

So unless you have the skill and material, yes, dead.

Thanks gaugeman..... That's what I needed. Now on to the replacement. But first, are rear A/C blower fan resistor pack the same as for the front?
