Here's what Car and Driver thought of the 928GTS vs. 850i. This is the November 1992 issue scanned from my personal archives - yes, I've been a 928 fanatic that long. (I also saved the July 1990 issue with the Road Test Review of the 928GT)

I've heard of them, but never seen one. Supposed to be pretty tasty.

i have these books, which are just compilations of US and British car mag articles about the 928, many comparing them to its competition at the time (8-series, Jag, Corvette, Aston, etc.). good reads, if you can find them.
