Hmmm, I ordered some 356 parts from AA a bit over 20 years ago. Still have not received them Maybe I should re-order from somebody else?

I gave up on AA 19+ years ago....after more phone calls, and rudeness, and letters than I care think about. Since they took me for a bit less than $500 there was not much that could be done, other than complain.

Most unplesant to hear they continue their old habits....

I have no idea how they stay in business. I've heard the same stories from all the 914 guys, 356, 911, 944, and on and on. I do enjoy stopping by once in a while because he has some really amazing 914s there, but that's about it.

Their business if for sale. It is listed in the back of Autoweek for the last few weeks.

Perhaps a real Porsche player should buy them and fix what is broken

I doubt it could be fixed under the same name.

Absolutely, changing the name is the first thing that should be done! What a nightmare.

That's already two black marks in the Atlanta area, AA and GAD...

Reverse the charges on your card. Lets see them charge you a 20% restocking fee than. Total BS what they did to you!!

Thanks Dan. It is not even what they did (i.e. not notifying me of unavailable parts.) It is the sanctimony and f***ing smugness of these losers on the phone that pisses me off.

Everyone makes mistakes. Roger once sent me two right parts instead of a L/R part. But what he did was give me a good deal on another part, was very courteous on the phone, and it makes me want to work with him again and again.

I have learned my lesson and will only order from the Rennlist-approved places!

Yep. I think auto atlanta is every porsche owner's first lesson for a vendor to avoid.

I have ordered parts from AA as well and I wont do it again.

Pulling money from my VISA card for items not sent, and that actually were NLA for the last 10 years, but still show in their on-line catalog.

I did order som service parts as I had an order there anyway, to consolidate and minimize shipping cost. What did they do ? Only sending an oil filter across the atantic, ending up costing 4 times the charge of my local Porsche Center, on top of charging for NLA parts.

Crooks !

Ragnar
