When was the last time you saw OE Pirelli Cinturato P7 225/50 16s?

Hey Tony. I did find a NOS piece a few years ago. Unfortunately sitting on the shelf all those years made it lose its shape a bit so it's not perfect. I also have an uncut old one that needs restoration, so I might try that someday when I have time (too busy doing metal work on my 914 restoration). If you know of one that's A++ perfect I'd still be interested.

Super cool that they are making P7s again!
Looking at the original post. Reminds me of the days that my dad owned the SilverBulit. He probably went through 3 or 4 sets of P7s. All of which wore EXACTLY like the pics you posted.
Weird, he always stuck to the factory PSI recommendations and they ALWAYS wore in the middle of the tire. Every set that he had! I'm talking all the way through to the belts.
He finally switched to Goodyear Gatorbacks probably around 85-86 or so and that didn't happen again.
If you look at the book Project 928, on page 131 they were doing desert testing in the mid 70s. A quick snapshot shows them inspecting a tire that wore down to the belts in the CENTER of the tire. This must have been a pretty common event in the early days of the 928 on P7s...
