Default Unused Junction Block?

1986.5
5-Speed

Any one know what this Junction Block might be used for? It is under the center console on the right side. There is an after market radio installed but is wired direct to an amplifier in the back of car.

All I can find is a number on the junction block that says it is a junction block 928.615.511.00

Thanks for the help!

It's a relay socket for that chime relay - if you get a relay you can plug it in - many remove it to eliminate the chimes...

Anyone have a pictue of the later version with 3 relay sockets??

Rob I'm not entirely sure but it seems there are up to 3 console relays on some cars (Alarm) so earlier than that is likely (GTS doesn't have it either).

Trying to figure out if its 3 of those mated together or a different thing. They look like they interlock (sideways)...? There may be configurations with 2 sockets too...

Thank you for the help...

I thought it had something to do with the radio. I am trying to figure out how this after market radio was installed and why they never wired into the existing speakers, just into the new boom box fabricated for the rear...

It's a mess best way to describe.

I happen to have the center console out..it started with wanting to install an extended hub steering wheel and well, you know how it goes...anyway, there are three relay blocks on my '89. Left is for the blue relay (alarm?), middle for seatbelt and door chime (originally not there, Louis Ott was so kind to send me his'), right is empty. Not the best picture, but you can see the blocks. Let me know if you need a close up.

Aryan - Thanks - is this just 3 of the single relay holder blocks mated together? - looks rather like it - but I can't be sure...

Yes, three single holder blocks next to each other. Any idea on the right, empty block?

Aryan

Its for another Alarm relay (USA Only) Flashes the fog & brake lights as well as sounding the horn when there is an alert.

Assume the one you have (blue) is 928.637.160.00 The other should be 944.615.113.00/01 and if you plug one in I'd expect it would work like the USA config.
