Start out at $4,000 be prepared to get offers for much less. As it is now with rust around 1/4 windows, bad paint, and needing interior plus the automatic much over $2,500 is a gift ! Does have "updated " S-4 wheels. The Ansa exhaust is a minus. The ideal buyer will NOT be 928 knowledgeable just someone who sees a Porsche they think they can afford.

I'd value it at nearer $1k, perhaps $2k with documented work. If you were going to restore one, you'd start with a better car. There are plenty of better ones around IMO.

Corrosion, paint and interior work are money sinks. That's before you even get to fluid leaks, emissions etc.

Definitely. At $5k, they're going to need to be very, very lucky.

When I last went in a drive it drove good and it did pass new York state inspection and the ac/heat do work

I have to ask him for the key to really try it out

Yea I told him around there 2/3 but someone who knows nothing about the car just the brand convinced him with 5 and I told him well that's going to be an expensive paper weight cause 5 it's going to be extremely hard to get

There will come a day when $2,000 Porsche 928s are but a memory.......but we are not there yet And if history is any example when that day comes it almost happens overnight !

have to figure that the chili pepper trucks will depreciate to next to nothing....way too complicated and expensive to repair.....just another cycle they will end up like big BMWs and Mercedes sedans or Jaguars for that matter used up and thrown away.

The early 996s seem to be on the downward $wise
