Default Phone Dials not exclusive to the 928

What other cars have phone dial, or phone-dial like wheels?

Lamborghini used them on the Countach, and here is a very special one made by Bertone: 1974 Lamborghini Bravo

Those wheels were also used at 1976-79 Lamborghini Silhouette which was targa roofed two seater version of Urraco.

Yes, it looks like those are universal to Lamborghinis of that time.

Wasn't there some sort of US Ford Escort Coupe that had phone dial like wheels as well?

Um...kinda.

The Silhouette was based on the Urraco chassis and was a design study that turned into the Jalpa.

European Fords had them in the 1980s - mainly the Escort XR3 and XR3i

Maybe it's just cause I'm from Texas, but those look like horse shoes to me.

These VW Golf rims are from the same conceptual camp - but someone took the 'Go Big' mantra to a new level and the ovoids don't actually fit contained within the rims...!

Like wine glasses without stems...

They made 2 prototypes and 53 Silhouette's in 1976-79 so it was more than just study. Last one was used as Jalpa prototype

Sorry, I misquoted. It was a styling exercise by Bertone.
