Default Idle problem after vacuum repair

Small question, today i took my "84 928 for a drive.
The blower was constantly blowing hot air through the vents, so i took a small look under the hood.

There was a vacuum hose disconnected from the vacuumsystem near the breakpump.

I reconnected the lot and also took a look under the Main Air Infold (took it out cleaned it) and took a look to where all the other black vacuum hosesw went and checked there connection.

All looked well, placed everything carefully back en started her up again...i can hear the vacuum build up, but the engine won't idle anymore.

It starts immidiatly but runs for 2 sec. and shuts down.

What could be the reason for this ?

It's kind of hard to understand what you are saying. I'm guessing English isn't your first language.

What do you mean by "Main Air Infold"? The plastic box that houses the air filter?

And what do you mean by "hearing vacuum build"? Have you put a vac gauge on it?

Can you get the engine to keep running by playing with the throttle? Or does it die no matter what?

yeah sorry for my english.
I mean i took of the MAF with the airfilterhousing attached to it.
Cleaned the Engine a bit , looked at the vacuum hoses there, then placed the MAF back.

i can keep the engine running playing ith the throttle, but its not easy to drive with it.

with the MAF not connected the engine won't turn of (connectors not attached).

it worked fine before, i drove it for about 30 min before this happend..

About the vacuum, i can now hear the flaps (the vacuum system) do its job.

before that there was a vacuum hose not attached, now that seems to be in order.

You need to get a copy of the vaccum diagram for your car, I see a few connections that are wrong, like the "red" line going to the heat control valve, that connection should be coming from inside the car and not connected to the 4 way.
But there is more than that one connection thats incorrect.

Yup Neilh ...those black hoses are correct, then another one from the carb goes to the LE box inside...
devek9 ... the red hose comming from where its connected to the 4 way splitter, i used a small piece of that red hose for better connecton to the vacuumbox (cruisecontrol leftside wheelbox).
other hose goes to the brakebox, and other black hose goes inside car.

i think its the right way...

These might also help, they are for the euro 84. Note in the ignition diagram item 10, that is the TDC sensor to the ignition control unit, if that sensor is bad or unplugged you will not get any ignition.

Thnx Neilh !
Mine worked fine untill i removed the MAF and checked underneath it.
I replaced all back like it was (didn;t remove the airfilterhouse so MAF is the right way up/down). only thing i noticed was that on the vacuum 4 -way splitter the vacuumhose to the vacuumbox for the cruisecontrol as disconnected.

Now i got problems ....
I replaced the MAF with en new one, no luck.
When MAF is connected but not in place it runs (prolly in emergencyrun) once i keep the MAF infront of the airintake the engine stalls en stops.

Red hose, black hose.
