Default Steering rack boot

Hi all
My mechanic replaced both steering rack boots, do i need a alighment ?

Guess it's possible to put the tie rods back the same way, how does it steer/ drift?
Would not hurt to have it checked, as long as they know how to do it.

You can measure the distance and replace the tie rods to the same point.

Safest bet is of course to have an alignment done, but it should be pretty much good. If nothing else changed but the boots he should have been able to put everything back together the way it came out.

Depends on how the boot was fitted...I was able to slip new boots on over the ~ 1.5" collar without disturbing alignment - disconnected the ball joint from the steering arm, carefully slide the boot over the joint and down the tie rod.

Yep - if he undid the inner tie rod joint from the rack, then the alignment won't have changed. If he undid the ball joint end, then you need an alignment.

Thanks, i will call to find out, i did notice the steering wheel is a little off center tho. Either way i think i better get it done since the tires are only a year old and also thats when the last alignment was done.
