I would LOVE to have the U.S. CEO take a little joyride in the GTS.

Detlev von Platen, if your staff regularly Google your name for reputation management purposes, you have an open invitation when you're in California to come drive my GTS.

Several of us from the Dallas area recently participated in an event with the members of the Maverick PCA group. Lots of 911's and they accepted us with a warm welcome. We even made the cover of their monthly magazine

Hmmm. 60,000 plus sold (worldwide) over 18 years.

And that's considered a "Flop."

I think the stigma (and separation) between 911 and 928'ers was the old aircooled / watercooled camps...well as we all know...it's only water cooled now...the 928 is now a leader in design for all water cooled motors

Yeah but Toyota sells that many Camrys in the U.S. alone in just one month!

Yes..and im sure if a 928 had ever been in the same price bracket as a camery it would have beat that, however the 928 was a premium super car marketed toward a much smaller crowd, that the average joe could not afford.

To put it is perspective....last year Porsche sold 143,096 vehicles. about 78,000 of which are trucks expensive trucks , also sold 27,331 Panameras a high dollar limited market none joe average car. So by comparison 928 sales were pretty insignificant especially for the very high development costs of a all new designed car...

Im curious though, those sales are todays numbers...Im guessing that 20 years ago or even earlier Porsche's total numbers sold would have been a lot smaller all around?
