I have changed out the oil and went with the Lubro Moly 5W-40 fully synthetic. I swear the car is smoother and quieter, but it is probably all in my head.

I cut the old oil filter in half, to see how much metal was in it. Not too bad, but there was a larger piece of something metallic...maybe 2 to 3 mm in length in it. I guess this is the reason cars have oil filters to begin with. I imagine most of it is small flecks of aluminum from the new pistons.

I'll run this oil 5,000+ miles.

Today my Split Second signal conditioner arrives. I have scheduled Dyno time for September 5th...let's hope I can pull this off without a hitch.

John, Quarts or liters? did you put extra oil capacity on as a result of the turbo work? does your car eeally use 9 titers of oil?

It took 8 liters of oil to fill the Bastard.
