Default Beading Staples

Would anyone have any extra "Correct" bumper cover beading stapes they would like to sell? Can't seem to be able to find the right ones locally and the ones I purchased online(Arrow T50's, Monel, 1/4) have the opposite taper legs that twist. Thanks!

I used 3m double sided trim tape. Find a thin version designed for auto body trim. It worked great. The beading is further captured when you attach the bumper cover. I don't know about the staples, but maybe that would be helpful.
Good luck,
Dave

My understanding is that the staple need to be stainless steel ones.

We installed the front bumper cover on Just Peachy a few days ago and used only contact cement. Use the slightly thicker bead that Roger carries, it pins in better and looks great.02 T

Wow, that is a great idea. My body shop guy used staples becasue that is what the car came with, but he was very concerned about stapling into old polyurethane the the polyurethane might split. Mine went on fine, but if I ever redo it again I'll use contact cemetn or adhesive tape.

Thanks for the input! Think I have found the right staple and will go that route.

When you apply the beading, there is a knack to getting it at the right height. Not sticking out, and not too low. You might practice a little. If you already know this, sorry for the obvious.
Best of luck,
Dave

If you use 3m tape make sure it is VHB. Also you will want the black foam VHB so it's less visible.

On my S3 I just used staples after a failed attempt with the tape.
