Owner has sent me a bunch of photos and records. But needs TB/WP service now.

What do you think is a reasonable price? $22k?

I'd say $20k absolute max, but the owner seems to have unrealistic expectations.

Nice interior.

I'd want somebody to put eyes on this car on your behalf before committing to buy.

Perhaps start a thread with Austin Tx in the title asking for a rennlister to take a look for you.

You should also consider paying a 928-centric mechanic to do a PPI.

Interesting ...."17K in receipts for service and restoration in last 8000 miles.." And people sometimes get upset with me when I point out to potential owners that it is very easy to spend $10,000 on a 928...and still never be done

And it says that the "60k Service" has been done, yet reportedly needs a TB/WP.

Based on records he sent to me on what has been done from a service perspective, TB/WP were last done in first part of 2007. That was two weeks ago he sent me those records, maybe he had them done?

There are quite a few 928ers in the Austin area.... I'd take Randy V's advise on a new thread for your personal PPi.

If this is the 928 you want, color, model year, transmission, condition, miles, etc price is going to need whatever flexibility is required to buy it, or you don't get it.

Main factors on price;

Why is it being sold? Is it a flip, or long time owner letting his baby go?

Who else wants it and how badly do they want it?

Off hand I would rate the chances of buying this one at a "good" price about zero. This one will go to somebody that wants it.

VIN?

"Electrically Adjustable Steering Wheel" ???

The maps go to College Station, not even close to South Austin.

I don't necessarily consider "dealer serviced" a plus.

I assume it is a flip. But did not ask. Records indicate car was serviced in Weston, MO for past three plus years. Seller stated he has title of car and his business is located in Manchaca, TX.
