Hey you're over in Winston? I'm over in Greensboro.
There's liability and as long as the car was parked on separate property, it's the other homeowner's and the plower's responsibility. Someone's liability insurance will pay for this. They'd have to prove the car wasn't in that shape prior.
But yeah-this is interesting...

I would have called the plow driver to come dig it out or send him the bill for me to hire someone. Plow drivers know better than to pull crap like that. If they don't they shouldn't be plowing

I'm sure there is more to this. Wonder who it might be? LOL

He's posted since then and it appears he received a decent chunk of change off the plow driver. Still sort of vague on what happened. It would be interesting to see a before picture of the car.

quotes from original story....
It looks like he was backing up with the plow high and took out the fender. Your wheel seems ok. He then probably buried it because the was probably drunk. By the time you noticed it he would be sober. just my theory
You are 100% correct. He pushed the snow up on top, let down the plow on top of the car, then backed off. I still have not found the rest of the fender.
It was 2am when he did it, and when I met him today he reeked of booze.
Guy cut me a check for $1500.
He's 75, Unemployed, uninsured, and plows driveways for all the churches around here for free.
In the end, I just was not able to put the screws to him.
Says he has been plowing 30 years - you can tell when someone knows what they are doing with a plow, and this guy just didn't have it.
I spoke with the police prior to his visit, they said they would get him for a hit & run if I wanted. I just could not be the guy to completely destroy the old man's life over a fender.
reply...
That's the problem', every drunk has a sob story, it's the reason and result of being a drunk. Next week when he kills someone's little kid they'll ask "why was he driving?". There a many things I can forgive...dwi, is not one of them, I would have taken a different path.

What happened to this poor guy?
'79 no rub strips, sunroof delete. Got to be a story here somewhere: http://allentown.craigslist.org/pts/4639535578.html

I'd guess a snow plow and a snow drift.

Nordschleife Master
It's the one that got hit by a plow. Old guy, probably drunk, plowing out the church next door.

I hate when that happens.
That's why i never park my 928 in the snow next to places of worship.

that was a bogus story imho - the plow did not do that damage. Read the bird thread.
