Default 84 928 AUTO FOUND IN SOUTH PHILADELPHIA

I was over in South Philly a week or so ago and spotted a 928 in an auto repair shop. Went in and talked to the shop owner Ray. He said it was his father's car and it was for sale. I took a few pictures of it, Sorry about the quality of the pix, the car was parked between 2 other cars real tight. I got the best shots I could. I tried to open the hood but the cable lever in the foot well was missing, so no engine pix. Ray told me the car hasn't been driven for about 5 years. The engine cranks over but doesn't fire up. He thinks it may be the fuel pump. It has 460K + on the odo. The seats look OK for its age, but the dash is trash(see pix). It has 'manhole covers' on it but the tires are flat. It has a radar detector built in under the driver's side dash. As you can see the paint is bad but there was no rust that I could see. Ray said "I'd LIKE to get $1,000 for it" (sounded like he had his fingers crossed when he said that.) If I had a place to put it, I'd offer him $500 cash if he delivers it to my place on Maple Shade N.J., and he'd probably go for it. Anyway the contact info is---RAJAX AUTOMOTIVE 1821 s. 25TH STREET,PHILA.PA19145 (215)755-4594---Fax#215 334 4594 P.S. in the VIN # PIX the top table is MINE, the bottom table is the one for sale VIN#-WR0JB0923ES860635 Tell them 'JAY' sent you.

I hope I don't have to die next to a Plymouth Volare. Poor thing.

Someone with a bit of land and free cash needs to start collecting these basket cases. In not too many years, that $500 is going to be worth quite a bit more...

The cloth seats are interesting, and I think rare for a US car in 84. I like them.

South Philly? The coke you'll find in the door panels will more than cover the price of the car!

Okay I know it's not North Philly but...

The one with the PORSCHE badge on the nose. Yes it is kind of ratty, but it is an early model shark and I'd hate to see it go to the crusher.
