Make sure you pay special attention to the doors also. They are a huge source of rumble and noise. Check everything for tightness, I like to tap all over the place and listen for rattles and loose items. Lube the window regulators, make sure the door checks are in good condition, etc.

I also used VB-2 instead of the plastic moisture barrier. See my post "El Guapo gets the silent treatment".

Did similar with my '89. Didn't go up quite so far though. The edges are rough on your fingertips.

Just need to get my carpet back in now once it warms up.

Who really cares how many pounds for real. You can add 20 lbs of dynamat or you can lose 20lbs of flab. We don't have race cars, we have GT cars. 20lbs doesn't make a sh**ing bit of real world difference if the car is noticeably quieter.

I did my trunk area last fall. Doors are next.

Weight is 0.45lb./ft2 (2.20kg/m2)

I ordered 2 Dynamat Xtreme Bulk Pak + 2 door kits. Had a spare door kit when I was done. So if my math is right.... Never mind, you do the math..

2x Xtreme bulk pack = Kit contains nine 18" x 32" pieces of Dynamat Xtreme
2x Xtreme Door Kit contains four 12" x 36"

And I had almost one complete door kit left over. Again I did not go all the way up the firewall as the OP did nor did I pull off the complete coverage that he did. I could have easily used 3 bulk kits to get the coverage that he did or more.
