Gary Knox 02-14-2014 11:24 AM

Alan,

I'll try to get the '94 US/Auto done for this. It may be sometime next week, as I can't really get to the car in the hobby garage until SOME of our incredible snow melts!! IF someone else can do a '94 sooner - please go ahead, be my guest!!

Gary-

Alan 02-14-2014 11:36 AM

Gary - go ahead and add yourself to the list and repost like Roger did - you have ~3 weeks to do it...

I won't be making changes until then - because often changes spill from year to year or even acoss all years.

OK Bumping this again... because I still need help with quality checkers for this project with major value to all owners (but only if it's all correct data...).

Please sign up for the USA years that aren't yet taken - see the list above (repost this list with your name on it).

If you have an ROW/Euro then you can also sign up - there will be a later deadline for this part of the project but happy to have you listed now...

Alan - I'd sign up for the 1990 MY, but I have no idea how to do what you're asking be done. If you would give me some instructions, I'd pencil my name in.

Is US early '93 and late '93 different? If not then also ROW '92 and '93 should be covered by doing either one.

US early '94 vs late '94 is different due to RDK and dynamic kickdown but will it make difference in this case?

Alan 02-16-2014 04:34 PM

Erkka - you are right there are different diagrams for early/late '93 and some very early (S program) '94 are really like late 93's.

However I have yet to figure out the early/late '93 changes (anyone) - it doesn't appear to me to affect the fuses/relays... Maybe you are right that it's only for the '93 S-program (so a few '92 like cars)...? The '94 introduction of D-K is accomodated with a VIN range detail.

At this point I don't think we need to distinguish... but Erkka what do you know about differences: '92 config vs 93 config in ROW?

David - I'd check the diagrams against the fuse/relay charts on 928gt.com (which are known to have some issues), also against your cars details (likely stapled to the wooden CE panel cover, check against the PET component part number listings and also check against what's actually installed in your car (fuse ratings*? and relay* ID's)

*Certainly its possible these have been swapped incorrectly - but it's a worthwhile check anyway to highlight possible issues. Not hard - just takes a little time.

PET pdf downloads (note that within model year grouped sets individual year components are called out line by line, go to Main Group Electrical Equipment)

http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...artscatalogue/

These year ranges are available in pdf (OR use the Full PET if you have it).
