So does that mean you can still use the Canton #22-568 Sandwich Plate you bought & just use the 928 filter instead of the 944 filter? Or is there a Canton plate that would be specifically for a 928 & 928 filter?
Also, does the Canton Sandwich Plate provide a specific size of outlet? I'm planning on -10an lines & if the plate has a smaller outlet size, does that restriction in oil flow at the plate negate the larger size lines & fittings everywhere else? Or does it not matter? Carl sells a sandwich plate which has -8an outlets; yet the Accusump set up he sells with Canton products for connecting to the oil cooler lines has all -10an lines & fittings. Canton's install kits use -10an lines/fittings as well. I am planning on likely installing in the rear bumper ala Louie Ott's info, so the larger line/fitting sizes are surely even more impt.

There have been a couple posts about how/where to splice in the Accusump.
There's more than one way to do it, but this is how we did it here. We just pulled the motor out of the race car after 3 seasons to refresh it, and I snapped this pic right after I removed the alternator. Sorry its not all cleaned up and stuff.
But the pic is good and shows the AN lines and fittings. This has worked well for us.

The first time I did this I had to weld up my own AN adapter fittings to the 928 block. Now I stock them brand new. Makes plumbing easy. Note: no need for a sandwich plate at all.
